Received this tach today - 34 days after ordering. It arrived with a very DEAD battery (0.87 VOLTS).
Removed the leaking battery, cleaned the corrosion, and installed a new battery (9.7 V). It functions, but only at a close range (8 inches [20cm] or less). If you need a greater range, suggest you try other units. Good Luck and Best Wishes.......
